

The detective is later given a letter by the Queen of England, who congratulates her for solving the case and recovering the diamond. The detective finds the gem box containing the diamond and after solving its puzzle, opens it to find the diamond inside. Although the thief is arrested, he/she does not give the location of the diamond. The detective eventually discovers the thief who stole the diamond. Five are declared Prime Suspects while the others are declared innocent. Using her crime computer, the detective investigates the twenty suspects throughout Capital City. Characters also became a more prominent part of the series with the investigation revolving around a list of 20 characters with different personality ‘quirks’.Ī valuable diamond called the Queen's Hope is stolen from Capital City's Plaza Gallery and the Master Detective is sent to find it.

MCF: Prime Suspects adds items that players have to discover to unlock later levels (such as finding a battery to power a flashlight). The 800 carats (160 g) diamond was stolen from the Capital City Plaza Gallery where it was on display as part of the annual mineral convention, Sparkle Daze. The Queen informs the player that something evil was released along with Emma, and the detective states "I know." The sequel and fifth game in the series, Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst, continues the Ravenhearst story-arc.Following on the heels of MCF: Huntsville, the player is tasked with investigating the disappearance of the Queen’s Hope Diamond in Capital City. The player then sees the detective (see Ravenhearst) talking to The Queen in a phone booth. A black ghost hovers above her, saying that "while you rescued Emma, you will never save Rose, his true love". After finishing the last of these puzzles, an image of a haunted manor appears before the shot pans out to reveal Madame Fate lying dead on her crystal ball's table. Each suspect has a motive the player tries to discover the secrets hidden within Madame Fate's crystal ball.Īt the end of the game, Madame Fate meets with the player and asks them to complete a final puzzle, claiming that her death is the player's fault rather than the fault of any of the carnival workers.


The player's investigation includes a multitude of people, from Art the Carny to Lucy the Bearded Beauty, while exploring Fate's Carnival. She has asked the player for help in investigating each quirky carnival worker to determine their whereabouts when the clock strikes twelve. Madame Fate, a mysterious fortune teller, has foreseen her own demise at the stroke of midnight.
